SPECIAL FEATURES, BENEFITS AND REMARKS: Attractive and tough shiny, deep red to purple tunic. Red onions need to be cured properly in order to develop the distinctive red internal colour – they have a white flesh colour when recently harvested or when used as fresh green (not cured) onions.
